5:10 (though they said 5:05, I think this is closer) 10:28 (5:18) 15:50 (5:22) 21:10 (5:20) 26:32 (5:22) 32:04 (5:32) 37:26 (5:22) 43:05 (5:39) 48:31 (5:26) 53:56 (5:25)
This race went OK. Tough back half (27:24) after OK first half (26:32). I was hoping for low 53's, but I will definitely take this result. I had a great time over the weekend - the experience was awesome. The course was tougher than I thought it would be - lots of credit to Jaron for running as fast as he has in the past (52:15!!).
Thanks for the comments, guys! It felt good to get outside and open up a little bit. Hopefully the sun is here to stay!

The race was a lot of fun...and I ran better than I thought I would. I was a bit fast through the first mile but after that i settled into a nice pace until about 7. The garming had me run 10.08 miles so i will give the splits it gave me.
5:41 (fast first mile) 11:44 (6:03) 17:46 (6:02) 23:47 (6:01) 29:47 (6:00) 35:49 (6:02) 42:03 (6:13) 48:11 (6:09) 54:28 (6:17) 60:44 (6:16) 61:12 (0:28) ( the last .08)

Excellent runs, guys! Good to see the snow hasn't kept you from being in shape early in the year. Looks like big things to come for you.

It was really nice to enjoy some sunshine and warmer temperatures. My splits are as follows:
5:37 5:56 5:57 5:52 5:56 6:01 5:56 5:57 5:57 5:52
Having not "raced" for the better part of a year, I need to get back in the groove if pushing myself a little harder. My splits were pretty consistant as a majority of the miles were 5:56-5:57. That seemed to be a very comfortable pace where I wasn't breathing very hard and felt OK. That being said, I am dissapointed as there was more in the tank, but also pretty pleased that without doing any speed work and not many long runs this winter, I am at the point where I am. I am looking forward to bigger and better things for all of the Striders in the months to come.
This is a GREAT race that a few of us try to do every year. Hopefully next year, some others will consider heading down with us to enjoy one of the highlights of our racing season.
