I just wanted to say hello to everyone here. I have been running for about 2 years now and wanted to meet other runners. I plan to join the QC Striders. I am 38 years old.
My brother and started training in January for the Frederick Marathon using Hal Higdon's guide. (Our first one) Unfortunately, due to some pulmonary embolisms, I had to stop at week 12 of the 18 week training. My brother finished with a 4:17 time. I was really happy for him, but at the same time it was really hard to watch instead of participate.
I did start running again last week (only short runs so far), but I think I may have my 12 year old son interested as well. I live near the canal (Wiley Ford) and would be glad to run with anyone that is looking for a running partner.
Looking forward to talking to everyone.

I second the welcome. Just wondering if you had any races that you were looking to run this summer or fall.

Thanks for the welcomes . I am in middle of deciding whether I should run the Baltimore Marathon in Oct. I have a few weeks to decide before I need to start my training program. Also, on Sept 9th, I am considering the Chicago Half. Of course, I will probably run in the GAR since its right here and a little ways off.
