Please download and distribute the Run for the Plunge 5K run/walk entry
forms as you are able. Entry forms also should/will be posted at
www.mountainMDmarathon.org,
www.mdmountainside.com,
www.TriStateRunnur.com,
www.wmtiming.com , Washington Running Report (runwashington.com), Runner's
Gazette and
www.hooleyplunge.com. I've attached the Mountain Maryland
Marathon Club logo if anyone would like to use the logo to link to the event
site with it.
Other outreach efforts include GO106 and other regional radio stations, the
Cumberland Times-News, the Hagerstown Herald-Mail, the Mineral News-Tribune,
Becky McClarran's "What's Happening in Downtown Cumberland" email blast (as
appropriate) and Michele Walker's County United Way email blast (as
appropriate). Announcements also will be made on a number of runner-friendly
online message boards.
In addition, I learned the Times-News sports magazine, which is released
early next week in about 28,000 newspapers (I think on Tuesday) had a spot
to fill and I was able to put in a 400-word article there. The magazine
article is the first of a series of outlets which highlights the
relationship between the Allegany County Special Olympics and Manheim Corp.,
which is sponsoring the Run for the Plunge.
If anyone has any other ideas, I'm all ears.
Here's the news brief that appeared in today's Times-News -

Please distribute at will.:
