I know we've got a few more weeks to go, but I was wondering what everyone thought might be the biggest running-related moment in the area? Doesn't matter if it's related to yourself or not.
Did you set a PR? Did you win a race for the first time in a long time?
Did you complete a distance, whether in training or in a race, which you had never gone before or on a new terrain?
Maybe your best moment was watching a friend or relative acheive their peak, PR or, in some cases perhaps, personal disaster.
Up to you. What will you remember about the local running community from 2008?

For me, the best moment has to be Rebekah McBride winning the WV state title in cross. It typically has been tougher for the West Virginia athletes to win a state title in cross compared to the Maryland ones, but Rebekah's run was fantastic and with another year to go....

I agree with Jaron. State Championships are priceless and really should be cherished, especially ones with elements of upset and adversity throughout the season.
Others I'd consider would be GAR with a great local depth of talent shown, and in the Junior Striders 1 mile run at AC when my daughter Charlotte out kcked Jordan Davis (just kidding on that one).
