Turns out that Michael McGowan is a real director: www.imdb.com/name/nm1313340/All of the trailers look real - I don't really know what to think - it all looks too well done to be a class project!

Frank Shorter is the Producer.
I thought that was the give away, but it is very well done.

well, i've just heard the word, straight from the ______ (insert other name for horse or clown here) 's mouth-
i emailed jordan to ask if it was real, and he wrote back today and said that the movie was not real, and that it was just a project for the guy's thesis.....
jordan said training has been going well, and races might be coming soon- no word about whether it is for auburn or not- i'll post again with more information if it comes
i put in my request for the "gaunt is beautiful" t-shirt shown in the one frame- what a beauty that is!
so although we do not have a hollywood star on our hands, i will now forever associate quenton cassidy with jordan davis- the similarities are something i never pondered before!

amby commented, on April 11, 2007 at 7:51 a.m.:
I talked to John Parker, author of Once A Runner, about this. He hadn't previously seen this site, but thought it cleverly done when he took a look at it. He has sold about 100,000 copies of OAR, and also sold movie rights twice, but with nothing coming to fruition. He says he has finished the long-awaited Again To Carthage (did I get that title right?), and that it will be available this fall.
From Eliterunning.....maybe the 3rd selling of the movie rights will be the charm....here's to continued hope.

That is great...I'm too old to play myself now, my heel cords are so full of lymph that I couldn't pull it off, but maybe I can get a cameo as Brady Grapehouse, the guy who admits 'Seppo' to the stadium with the comment about the reindeer milk. Let me know.
