Just thought I'd post how my first "long" run after the marathon went. I finally had three days of running in a row this past week and decided to go farther than the max of 10 I have been running. I ran from the house onto the Canal out to Evitt's campground and back. It is 13 miles in total. I ran pretty conservative going out and was just a shade under 42:00 at the campground. I decided to just relax on the way in and ended up running 39:15 (6:02 pace). Ended up being 6:15 pace for the 13. A really good run even though I pigged out at The Crappy Pig (sic) last night and ate two soft-shell crabs and then had a double dip chocolate waffle cone at the Creamery.

Ice them, then continue to run through the pain - it will make you tough!!!

Jaron -- Not sure of your work schedule this week but the University is closed Wed (11-22). Let me know if you want to run on Wed. I'd like to get 70 to 80 minutes. We head south for the Holiday but I'm planning 18 miles on Sat in the Richmond humidity. Mostly to avoid sitting around my parents.
Saturday's run was fun, great weather and a great view. Never started the clock so I don't know the times.

Rob, I'd be willing to try and get together for a run Wednesday. I have to work (at least in the morning), but I may take a half-day off if Jackie has a half-day as well. I'll get back to you on what I am going to do. But I should be able to get out at lunch either way.
