Good article on Salazar's heart attack. Interesting to bring up the family history. Unfortunately for me, my family has a history of heart problems. My grandfather on my dad's side died of a heart attack at 42. Both of my mom's parents have had open heart surgeries in the past 5 years. My grandmother (mom's side) is diabetic. My dad has a heart murmur along with high cholesterol. Yes, things look bleak based on my family history, but my hope is that my heart is strong and that I can fight the history off.
Also, something of note is the figure that only like 20 percent of cholesterol is attributed to the diet. The other 80 percent is manufactured by the body. In this regard, some doctors suggest that all people (regardless of health) should take a statin drub to inhibit the enzyme in your liver that creates LDL cholesterol.

I wonder if any of that played a role in Ryan Shay's death?
