Hey Everyone since my roomate is an ass and i cant sleep with him blasting rap at 10 pm on a night before a race ... i thought that i would go and start a post asking how people did tom.
its an exciting day with pretty much everyone racing: FSU, Me, Jaron, Dan, and Jimmy

sadly i dont run until sunday scott. i will keep you posted on how i do and im sure everyone else will update you on how well they did.

Good news and bad news. good news i was 24th and ran competively with runners from pitt and duquesne, bad news is i have figured out i shouldnt be in the lead pack at mile one, 4:50's is not a good pace .... also my first 8k was a shock, esp. when i went through in 16:27 for my 5k, a bit scary when you pr. Anyway besides the rain and me crashing horribly it went well. it was a rolling course , kinda like iron furnace, also it was good coming off a killer mile repeat workout in which my calfs fell off , kinda tired, but overall it was a good day

Scott, good job. 27:30 for the first one is great. You just have to settle down early. Remember that the race doesn't start until it is 2/3's of the way done. Get one more under your belt and then start thinking about what you want to do at conference.

And great job to Dan as well. He told me that his last two miles were in 10:18 - now that is how you finish a race!!! Look for low 25's at Paul Short.

scott- glad to hear you learned about college xc in the best way possible- by getting your butt kicked! i am actually glad you went out hard- just think- we couldnt get you to go out in anything under 4:55 for the 2-mile at greenway and then you go out in 4:50s for cross- i will tell you that the only two times i did that last year ended up hurting badly- i did it in the 10k at regionals and ended up dropping 5:40s at the end!
as for the roommate blasting music, i can just say i empathize with you and suggest you get used to it or buy some earmuffs-
i am happy with my race- we did 76 miles this week with no let-up for the race so i am satisfied with how it turned out, i think 25 lows is reasonable in 4 weeks, but who knows? lets just hope everyone stays healthy-
now i have 14 miles to look forward to with the bald guy in just about 7 hours, so i may need some sleep
jimmy- have fun with your training and i am glad to see you are sticking with it, and dont be afraid to call me to talk about how things are going- i am kinda bored up at school, sometimes-
scott- jaron is right about the cross races- if you feel good, wait, and it will pass- if you waste it in the first mile, you will definitely feel it later, but you can always drop that 4:50 in the last mile and really turn some heads
ok- enough for now- back to lehigh in 12 hours after a 22-hour stopover in western maryland-
